Thank you Elliott for this quote. Does a pure heart mean sinless? Never having an unkind thought? Let’s talk about this.

      Hi Charlene,
To me, sin only means missing the mark.
I would say that living from a pure heart is more about the intention to live from the heart instead of the mind.
I intend to love everyone that crosses my path, but my programming shows up, at times, and love is not my first choice.
Since I do not profess to have a pure heart, I think it is more of a goal than an actual state of being.
If I had a pure heart, I like to think I could watch this president and not judge, but since I am not there yet, I still react.
Since I long for a pure heart, I spend a lot of time in the quiet healing myself of my tendency to react.
      Does that make any sense?
Sorry about it taking a week to get back to this comment. I need a mechanism which alerts me to comments.

I think the pure heart in this reference is the commitment to live as the Love that we are.
